Election Cake by Teaneck New Beginnings

Serving Suggested 40,000 people

Ingredients

1 Active Controversial New Beginnings Candidate
1 Unknown "No Baggage" Candidate
1 Credible Candidate from the Northeast

Bunch of attack letters
Several quarts of divisive inflammatory emails
Teaspoon of followers
Dash of anger
Tablespoon of mistruths
Multiple cups of forum sandbagging plants
Ounce of credibility to sell the cake
Sour concentrate

Filling
Step one--Interview all candidates
Determine who will follow TNB ideas
Assemble 3 candidates together

Crust
1 stale angry greenie

Directions: Place all ingredients in large Teaneck bowl, attack credible candidates, write inaccurate letters to the editors, sprinkle on top selfish motivations, thaw residents that were active in 1980's, use pointer finger to place blame on everyone else as a distraction,
pour over all negative statements, lay it on thick, stir the pot...repeat last 4 steps as necessary until proper consistency is achieved.

Preheat oven and bake dedicated, public servants until burnt.

Serve to the educated Teaneck public and see if they buy it!!!

This cake may be prepared in advance. Store in refrigerator until ready to serve for Board of Education and Council Elections.

Makes for great conversation around town.

TeaneckTalk----you left out 1 main ingredient : 1 State Senator, she is the icing on the cake.

And she is no Sarah Lee !!!!!

Brilliant!

Ron Schwartz needs to get a life. Joe Harris needs to accept the fact that the Orthodox Jews of Teaneck pay more than anyone else (except for large commercial properties)in taxes.

VOTE NO ON THE BUDGET

Don't the people with the biggest pieces of property and fanciest houses pay the most taxes? I don't recall "Orthodox" being part of any valuation process.

Vote wisely on the budget, after examining it in detail and asking questions.

Don't vote no on the budget just becaise some caps-happy anonymous blog poster told you to.

Go to the forums, ask questions, challenge the board on items you find questionable.

Make an informed decision

Perhaps the Recreation Department should offer a course in remedial spelling and gammar.

There are five candidates running for school board, not three. As for inflammatory, this post - and this blog as a whole - goes a long towards contributing to the increasingly divisive atmosphere in Teaneck.

Don't you want to make an informed decision when you vote? If TNB is really Margot's Cyrano, people deserve to know!

Oh get over the New Beginnings stuff already. It is divisive and downright juvenile to keep bringing it up. Move on to the important stuff that's happening right now -- let's not keep rehashing last Spring's old news.

HiT a sore spot now did we???

Anonymous said...

No -- more like a dull spot. You're beating a dead horse.

Anonymous said...

FED UP- your puppet masters Ron & Joe keep bringing it up.

Anonymous said...

Strangely enough, I've never even met either of my "puppet masters."

Schwartz and Harris control the Teaneck electorate using a high pitched radio frequency that cannot be detected by the human ear.

Anonymous said...

Whatever they use, I wish they'd stop!

Anonymous said...

Fortunately their attempt to control the Teaneck electorate was unsuccessful last May. I hope we are equally as lucky in the upcoming Board of Education election.

I think they're watching us right now, plotting how to take over the schools.

WAKE UP PEOPLE! THEY WALK AMONG US!!!!

(They even blog...)

It is to bad that we will have a very limited choice when we venture out to the polls election day. But that is nobodies fault but ours.
I am pleased with the incumbents but feel like i am settleing on the 3 seat.So far the forums have not changed my view.

Anon as long as TNB person does not get elected (M.F.) we will be fine. They appear to have an agenda NOT good for TEANECK.
stop NEW BEGINNINGS.

Anonymous said...

Stop the ridiculous garbage about a "new beginnings" candidate. There is no new beginnings candidate in this school board election. Try discussing the issues for a change.

Anonymous said...

Fed Up....and what do you think are the issues?????

Anonymous said...

I'd much rather see a substantive discussion of each school board candidate's platform, for example, instead of a made-up rehashing of last year's council elections. I think we would accomplish more and feel better as a town if we concentrated on doing something besides complaining.

The 'new' word on the street is that the 'TNB group' in addition to Margot Fisher is supporting Sabastian Rodriguez and Henry Pruit.
Any truth to this?

Fed Up -

While there are not "official" TNB candidates, there is certainly at least one candidate who appears very closely aligned (if only informally) with TNB.

I will not vote for that candidate based on her politics (MF).

Need advice on the other 4!

Anonymous said...

What do personal politics have to do with the school board election?

Anonymous said...

How is it personal? Its politics? Ones politics largely drives their decisions.

Anonymous said...

So you would just dismiss the candidate who is the parent of three children attending Teaneck schools and who seems articulate and committed to improving the district? I really don't understand. How is Margot Fisher "very closely aligned" with TNB? What does that mean? Teaneck New Beginnings was a slogan used for the last Council election. Lizette Parker ran on that slate -- is she evil by association, too?

It's not the "slogan" or the name, Teaneck New Beginnings that I have issue with, but rather the people who founded the group.
